Learn to blow a lot of air through your horn. It alleviates biting, =
which is a real no-no on Eb. It takes a harder reed also, but not =
necessarily a stick. I play on #4 Vandoren, but most recently have =
switched to a #3 Legere and it works very well. Your clarinet must be =
kept in apple pie order (no leaks, missing corks, etc.). Get a good =
mouthpiece (Hite, Greg Smith, Grabner, etc). I put a Chadash barrel =
from Greg Smith on my Buffet R-13 Eb and it improved it immeasurably. I =
like my Patricola better though. It has a better scale and is not so =
resistant as the R-13. It fits my hands better too. Practice, =
practice, practice. Best of luck.
