It is one thing to be prepared to play any of a number of instruments that
might be called for, since it increases the chances that you can fill an
existing requirement. It is entirely another to attempt to force your way
into an non-existent position just because you happen to possess and wish
to play a different instrument.

It is possible to have a soprano sax play trumpet parts in marching band
more or less successfully, but I am not sure what part an eefer could
reasonably play that might enhance the overall performance.
