First, congratulations on being selected as a finalist.
Second, I did not say that younger members are responsible for all off-topic
postings. HOWEVER, I will say that (in general, and not confined to
members of this list) "younger members" of show a great deal of exuberance
and excitement, and in many (but not all) cases are more likely to wander
off topic. I also know of one former member of this list who is currently
at Cal Tech (Don Gross...you know this person) wrote with such clarity and
precision that one would believe that he was much older and mature than he
was.
I would suggest that before you take offense, consider that my comments were
as a reminder, and as such, it would not apply to everyone. It is simply a
matter of "if the shoe fits...." In your case, perhaps "the shoe" doesn't
fit.

members of this list are responsible for all off topic postings? I take
very high offense. I somewhat understand your perturbation about Rebecca's
posts. Keep in mind, though, that you are not required to read them.
To keep this from adding to the problem, I am very excited to tell
everyone that I have been selected as one of the finalists in the ICA high
school solo competition.
