Subj: [kl] Hawaiian PUNCH!
Date: Thu, 22 May 2003 00:45:27 -0400

Well, the reeds soaked in Hawaiian Punch and Southern Comfort were quite =
popular last night. We used about ten of them. I took a clipper and =
some rush and sat there and adjusted reeds for the clarinets in =
attendance. In a matter of minutes we had four very happy clarinetists =
belting out Pomp and Circumcision. We had a right nice old time. The =
reeds tasted like Maraschino cherries. One of the oboe players borrowed =
the cup and did two of her reeds. This is an outdoor gig, starts at 6 =
PM and ended at about 10:30 PM. It was cold and dark. I used my pink =
Vito clarinet complete with refaced pink Woodwind mouthpiece and had =
pink reeds. I was in the pink all night. Sorry Rebecca, I can't agree =
with you. I will do this the next time I get roped into playing a =
graduation ceremony. They are long and boring and the whiskey reeds =
were a nice diversion.
