Actually, as a small child I lived in Metaire for a few years. I don't
remember much about it, but I realize that two of my earliest memories
are of a heavily screened front porch and of a mosquito fogger coming
down the street.

I doubt that alcohol breath would have much effect on anything, but I'd
be willing to participate in some experiments. ;-) Actually, I find
that it doesn't take much alcohol at all to have a perceptibly deleterious
effect on sight-reading skills and finger-tongue coordination, so I
generally reserve imbibing for after the rehearsal or performance.
