Oh dear. Does that mean that I shouldn't be soaking old reeds in
vinegar or hydrogen peroxide in order to get that black stuff off,
either? ;-)

(Wanna know a deep dark secret - I actually thought that would revive
them long long ago! AAAAAIIIGH!)
