I just checked out the www.doctorsprod.com
and I am thrilled. I confess that my "storage system" consists of a
clear plastic bag (not a zip-lock, but an open one) with about 6 or more
partically opened boxes of Mozart and Gonzalez reeds. I have vowed for
years that I would take more time to soak them properly and sort them,
but I never do. I don't know how I have ever lived without a "Thirsty
Pad". You have to look at it on the website to understand what it is.
The "Thirsty Pad" is where you put the reeds after you soak them and
before you store them in a reed case. Somehow, I manage to get 3 or 4
reeds put into the plastic LaVoz reed holders, and I prefer them to the
Vandoren. Sometimes I can't seem to get the tops off of the Vandoren
holders, and then the reeds go flying all over the place. The La Loz
work just find for me.
Those silk swabs sound pretty nice too. I still don't have a small
screwdriver, and the kit looks like a good idea. Omar Henderson is a
great guy and his products are highly recommended by many people. His
wife is a good quilter, so I like hanging out at his booth. I should
have bought the "Thirsty Pad" many years ago. Does anybody know anything
about the "Ultra Light Thirsty Reed Pad", like how many reeds it will
hold? I need to know!! ANNIE
