Matthew -

As Forest attests, you almost certainly won't have any trouble with such =
a
case but you may want to call your airline to be certain. Dimensional lim=
its
as well as weight are the potential sticking points. For example, British=

Airways limits carry-ons to 55cm x 40 x 20; most airlines have similar li=
mits,
and the Wiseman case is almost certainly longer than 55cm. In addition, t=
he
BAA limitation is even shorter - 45cm max; enforcement of this is sporati=
c,
but may happen.

As far as weight, it'll depend on class (airplane cabin class - not yours=
!).
First and business generally get a much higher limit - 18kg vs. 6kg in co=
ach
on British Airways. Rumor has it that there are other benefits of sitting=
in
the front as well . . . Most airlines don't check carry-on weight often,
though, unless you're clearly well over. Some do (Qantas is apparently qu=
ite
strict), so you're taking a small chance if you're seated in the main cab=
in. =

Again, call your airline, tell them it's a musical instrument and get the=
ir
exact policy. Also, see if it is printed anywhere, like on their webpage,=

print it out and take it with you to the airport in case of any problems.=

Cheers,
Jordan
