Welcome! And while you are stationed in Barstow and learning
music/clarinet/etc, be sure to get to know a piece by one Harry Partch
called - yup, you guessed it - Barstow. Long time since I heard it,
but the composer passed through there, if I remember correctly, and
wrote this truly funky piece about his experience. Partch was a
creator of instruments as well as of music, if my fuzzy memory serves
me correctly.
