You know, that sort of thing probably does give a young player more
confidence, even if it's partly a placebo effect. I felt the same way. I
still think Vandorens are better than Ricos, though a better reed won't help
a poor player.

Does/did anyone else have a set of lucky underwear? Worked wonders on
exams, as I remember.
