Welcome to the list and clarinetting in general! The Numero Uno jazz
clarinetist as far as I am concerned was Benny Goodman. There is MUCH
recorded music by him available. Also check out Artie Shaw. Irving
Prestopnik (aka "Fazola") was also good. Buddy DeFranco, the only real
"bop" clarinettist, is still playing.
