Bayside Music Press is pleased to announce the publication of a new
Woodwind Quartet piece by Xin Di, who teaches in the Recording Direction
and Computer Music Department at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in
Guangzhou, China.

Titled "The Little Brook," this is a delightful descriptive piece in
rapid 5/4 meter which brings to mind images of a clear stream in the
woods, tumbling over rocks, moving into sunlight and shade and sunlight
again, with fish below its surface and birds above. "The Little Brook"
is generally tonal, centering around D Major and related modes. It's
scored for Flute, Clarinet in Bb or A (both parts provided), Horn in F
and Bassoon. The duration of the piece at the marked tempo is about
3'10", and the retail price is $12.00.
