In a response to Don Gross who told me that he played the basset horn
trios on 3 bass clarinets, I wrote the following:

"I think that it's a terrific idea to play the trios on basset horns
though I do think that several of the 3rd basset horns parts would be
very difficult. A couple of them would be troublesome."

Fast hands. Small brain. I meant that it was a good idea to play the
trios on bass clarinets.

And as I think about it, they could also be played on three clarinets if
the third clarinet has the basset clarinet extension to low C.
