I do not play a basset clarinet in A (or any other key). I wanted to
buy a pair of basset clarinets, one in A and one in B-flat for use as my
regular orchestral instruments but no one would make one for me in
B-flat at that time. Today, I suspect that Fox will make a pair but
that's too late for me.

All basset horns are in F. I don't think that anyone could buy such an
instrument in any other key. The one with the smallest bore size is the
one both Keith and I have.
