Interesting that you should mention that. If you look at the Bach
ausgabe you'll see the continuo part in one key and the instrumental parts
in another - (off a half-step, as I recall) But only on SOME works. Why
so? Because one of the churches under his supervision had an organ pitched
that much lower than the other.
