Steph, mine does. It comes in two pieces, a small flat "washboard"
which mounts to the the clarinet. I was able to use the existing
thumb rest screw holes in my R-13. The other part has the thumb rest
and slides down onto the washboard. To remove it, you slide it down off
the washboard (it only slides one way).
