I think that might be impossible, because the two are always going
to end up overlapping. You just have to skip over the ones that
don't interest you. Like Tony points out, sometimes the clarinet-tech
stuff can be boring (yawn).
My personal opinion here is that as long as we stay away from the
name-calling and derogatory remarks, it's fine with me. That's the
kind of stuff that upsets people more than anything, and we are
supposed to be friends here, right? A little playful chiding is good,
as long as we make it clear that we are just teasing!
The one thing that we all have in common with each other is the
clarinet. So, if something starts out on-topic, but then takes off
in a different direction, what's the harm in that, as long as we
are civil and considerate of each other?
For whatever reason, getting into politics just upsets people and
splits us up. That was my point the other day, if we do wander off-
topic, let's at least keep the politics and religion out of it, unless you
want to go off-list with it. And then I would still hope that we could
treat each other with respect.
Am I making sense here? This is just my opinion.
Have a happy day, everybody!
Sue
