But the Selmer has a metal crook/bell as opposed to the Fox that is all
wood?

How on earth do you make a bent barrel in wood?

Subject: [kl] Fox Basset Horns

Hi all.

I did email Mr. Fox about which instrument Clark was referring to and
this is his response.

Both Keith's and Dan Leeson's basset horns are the small bore model,
which
has a principal bore diameter of 15.6mm. For comparison, the Selmer is
15.9mm, my medium bore model is 16.9mm, and a large bore basset
horn/alto
clarinet is 18.0mm.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Sincerely

Julia Heinen
