A couple of the movements are accessible to audiences. All of them are
downright hard to play, and especially difficult for ensemble. One of the
movements require 1/4 tones, for which Dahl provided fingerings.
Great piece, but not for the faint of heart, either to play or listen.
BTW, this was Dahl's last piece before he died, continuing a proud
tradition - write for the clarinet and die! ;-) (Mozart, Brahms,
Saint-Saens, Poulenc, etc.)
