Robyn, I have also had this type of anxiety problems when performing =
music.
I would urge anyone who has tried everything else they can think of to =
seek
medical help for this problem. There are many wonderful medications =
that
can be used to help with anxiety-many of them on a short-term basis.
Propanalol is a good one that is often used for this purpose. We all =
deal
with stress differently and some of us can handle more than others. =20

While we're on the subject...has anyone on this list had anxiety =
problems
that=20
manifested themselves specifically in an upset stomach and other =
digestive=20
problems? My performance anxiety has (disturbingly) gotten worse over =
the=20
last year or two, and it's all showing up in really bad stomach =
problems. I=20
won't give you the details...you don't want to know. ;-) Anyway, I've =
tried
a=20
lot of the common anti-anxiety stuff like deep breathing and =
visualization=20
with minimal effect. Has anyone found a technique that's especially =
helpful

to calm a stomach?
Thanks!
Robyn
