Karl, I play on 10G's. In the barrels I made for myself, I use a taper very similar in angle to the taper Moennig used (as I understand it). However, I don't open the the top of the taper as far as the ones I see from Buffet. At the bottom of the taper, I open up the bore just slightly to place the D/A, E/B, and F/C 12ths where I want them.

To do this I reverse the reamer and use it in the bottom of the barrel bore. Although not really measureable, it approximates a slightly hour glass shape in the barrel, with the narrow part two thirds of the way down.

I have to use a shorter barrel with a slightly smaller bore on the A. The taper is exactly the same.
