I saw the clip on the ARTS network. Luckily (and sometimes boringly) they
repeat their clips in 8 hr cycles. I saw it again a few minutes ago, and I
*think* I have the answer. She may or may not have been playing during the
actual recording of the clip, but I believe that she redubbed (or is it just
dubbed) the clarinet part later. My reason? She takes breaths when the
clarinet part continues playing. So she could so a complete dance routine
and twirl a baton with her toes and it wouldn't matter, since she could redo
the sound later.

Anyone know what clarinet she uses? The fingerings aren't what's used on
the Boehm system.

I agree that there should be some movement; natural movement. It's not, for
me, really normal to be absolutely still, but now most of my movement is
related to shaking and rubbing my left hand, trying to make it work.
