Well, you still get my sympathy, Ken. I let my Bb clarinet stay out on
its stand way too long - and although it didn't suffer a stuck barrel,
my keys have tarnished something terrible AND I tend to believe the pads
have deteriorated much more quickly than they would have had I been a
lot less lazy and put the horn away after every practice session the way
I should have! (I think I mistakenly thought that I would practice more
if my horn was sitting out, staring me in the face. :- )
