I am not sure, but think that the dimensions that Hite gives here are what
he feels Moenning's original dimensions were. Maybe someone has further
information, but I have been told that the Moennig barrels that Buffet
produces are slightly different from the original, why I am not sure. Often
the numbers that I have been told of the "original" Moennig dimensions have
varied quite a bit. I have been told that Moennig varied them himself,
depending on the dimensions of the mouthpiece used, the clarinet and the
needs of the player. Maybe someone here knows more details.
