I mentioned that I'm playing the GP in two cities, the second of which
is the beginning of a cross country car tour. I'm giving the cities
I'll be staying in so if there are any clarinet players who want to play
my basset horn (using their mouthpiece) as I am travelling through, get
ready. The fee for trying the basset horn is a GOOD pizzzza (also a
correct spelling). Si, io parlo Italiano!!

July 4-7 Santa Fe, NM
July 8 Amarillo, TX (so I can have decent bar-b-que)
July 9 Fort Smith, AR (so I can eat the blue jello at the Luby's cafeteria)
July 10 Pine Bluff, AR (so I can visit the band museum and get rid of
the blue jello)
July 11 Jackson, TN (it has a motel)
July 12 Knoxville, TN (it also has a motel)
July 13 Harrisonburg, VA (where I will celebrate my 71st birthday
standing naked in the street writing "GRAN PARTITTA" on the walls of
buildings
July 14-18 Paterson, NJ
July 19-23 Washington, DC (where I will examine the manuscript of the
GRAN PARTITTA probably for the last time during a visit to the Library
of Congress)
July 24 Washington, PA (so that I can go from Washington, DC to
Washington, PA)
July 25 Richmond, IN (it has a motel and for poetic justice I should
travel from Richmond, VA to Richmond, IN; it could become a fad; i.e.,
going between two different towns of the same name)
July 26 St. Peters, MO (just get to the other side of St. Louis as fast
as possible)
July 27 Council Bluffs, IA (gambling and a great buffet)
July 28 Sidney, NE (it has a motel)
July 29 Rock Springs, WY (it has a cot)
July 30 Elko, NV (I have only a few weeks of vacation and if I spend it
here, it will seem longer)
July 31 arrive home broke looking for the guy who stole my basset horn.
