Well, Amanda, I don't remember posting any hostile comments at all. But, in
any case, there's history to look at. The people involved in the newest
spate of off-topic posts don't have a long history of doing so. I guess
they've just jumped into the fray, so to speak, because everyone else seems
to be doing it right now. Politics and religion on mailing lists that don't
_involve_ politics and religion don't serve much purpose. IMNSHO.

Whether or not anyone has left the list because of them is unknown. But I do
know, as list owner (the guy that gets the emails when people have problems)
that a number of well-known and well-respected clarinet professionals do not
subscribe to this list primarily because of its signal-to-noise ratio. Right
now there's a lot more noise than signal - and unfortunately, this posting
is adding to the noise.
