I can't, of course, speak for anyone else, but when this list becomes full
of nothing but "serious" things, I'll unsubscribe.

Not all of us want to talk, eat, breathe, and think about THE CLARINET all
the time. Not all of us consider THE CLARINET the most important thing in
our lives.

Maybe there are a few here who are so obsessed with the instrument that
"idiotic things," "childish twaddle," and "inane banter," take precious
seconds away from their practice and serious pursuit clarinet scholarship
and the lofty truths of clarinet playing. But I, for one, consider the
clarinet an enhancement to my life, not the reason for it, and I enjoy a
little banter here.

I hope, as you mature and you gain a more worldly perspective, you will cut
the less-intense people here a bit more slack...and learn to be less
insulting, too.
