The same place the 98th posting of relentless off-topic drivel went. I've
never heard a complaint from one or two off-topic postings, but where a
conversation is taking place between a few people who are interested in this
"topic", and are using a mailing list to send their comments to near a
thousand people, 997 of which who don't really want to clog their mailboxes
with this quantity of "junk", I think most of us draw the line. Why not just
simple keep private messages "private"? You can email each other to your
hearts content and we won't care.

Considering that I have to maintain the computer server that runs the
mailing list, make sure that the communications channel to Internet is
running, ensure all the equipment and services get paid for, answer all the
questions people have about subscribing, unsubscribing, and posting (some
angry about the quantity and quality of the messages) ... maybe I have a
point.

Maybe if you knew that many of the top-notch players in the world have
subscribed at one time or another to this list - but most have quit because
the quantity of off-topic posts makes it less than useful to them. And we
all suffer because of that.

Perhaps it would benefit if everyone retrieved a copy of the netiquette FAQ
by sending an email to:
