Some of these I suspect MAY be real. My S.O. is pretty sure that
#3--"She's actin' single and I'm drinkin' doubles" was recorded by Ronnie
Millsap. Others may have been written by Kinky Friedman, a Texan who used
to have (or does he still have?) a group called "Kinky Friedman and His
Texas Jewboys." How's that for politically incorrect title? Friedman used
to be a frequent guest on Don Imus' radio show and would sing ditties like
"They don't make Jews like Jesus anymore," "If you don't think I love you,
ask my wife," "How can a whiskey 6 years old beat up a man of 32?" and a
parody of "Okie from Muskogee" called "A--hole from El Paso." He is also,
I've heard, a talented fiction writer.
