Not knowing whether you're addressing the question to me, Nancy or the list
as a group, I'll jump in and say that I don't think it could hurt, but it's
only going to help if the student's neck and shoulders are tense in the
first place. My basic point was that you need to figure out where the
student is and move him/her from there. Any reasonable, standard
prescription based on an abstraction or ideal model not related directly to
the student in question has as good a chance of success as any other. The
trick for effective teaching is in diagnosing the specific cause of the
problem, then trying changes directed at fixing the cause.

Some people who are sick get better when they're given an antibiotic. But if
you have a virus, penicillin won't cure it.
