Subj: [kl] Double-lip Differences (was RE: [kl] embouchure problems)

Bill,

I'm curious to know how they looked different from the outside. I know a
number of players in my local area who play double-lip and of course many
who play single-lip. The only way I can tell in most cases is to ask (or
have it come up in conversation). When I watch myself in a mirror, I can't
see a difference (I play both ways at various times). How did the double-lip
in this case look different?

I ask because I wonder if there isn't as great a variety in double-lip
styles and approaches as there is among single-lipped ones. We tend to talk
about double-lip embouchures as all being the same. I know Gigliotti didn't
teach exactly the same double-lip (as a palliative for pinching) that Harold
Wright taught (as a full time playing approach).
