Rebecca--

This is your project. Why don't you come up with several possible ideas,
and then ask the list on how to best approach you preferred one???

Subject: [kl] history of clarinet

I have to do a presentation at school about uhhhhh anything I want. I have
to teach about it, come up with an activity for the class to do, give a
demonstration and voila! tell about the origins.

I have read a lot about it and I read that the clarinet was developed when
J.C. Denner added two keys to the chalumeaux. I was wondering where I could
find a diagram as to where these keys were added or could someone who knows
about it make one on the paint program and e-mail it to me?

I am also looking for an idea for an activity or demonstration. I know I am
going to bring in an Eb, Bb, alto, bass, and contra alto and compare them
with the help of my Bb buddy in the class. I think people would be amazed to

see how large the clarinets are and I want for at least one person to
appreciate the hard work I put into this. Any ideas?
