I've received this email from my yahoo account on the yahoo clarinet list.
I would like to say for the record that I have no clue who Thomas Ohme is,
but I would like to send this to you guys just in case there is truth behind
this.

1. Clarinet Repair Nightmare - Thomas Ohme The Woodwindshop, Milwaukee Wisconsin

Subject: Clarinet Repair Nightmare - Thomas Ohme The Woodwindshop, Milwaukee Wisconsin

I sent Thomas Ohme the owner of The Woodwind-Shop in Milwaukee a
Buffet R13 for an overhaul in September 2002. The repair should have
taken a couple of months due to the stated waiting list and repair
time. Getting concerned in November I e-mailed the store to get a
target date for completion and was told I would get my horn back
November 14th. Today is April 12, 2003 and the store has yet to
return my instrument. Further Tom Ohme refuses to return my phone
calls or e-mails. All I can imagine is that Thomas Ohme either
fraudulently sold my clarinet or has lost it. I have contacted the
Milwaukee Police Department, the FBI's Internet Fraud Division, and
the Wisconsin State Attorney General's office. All have told me that
I should contact a lawyer.

The store has acted with obvious disregard for my property and my
rights. I advise anyone considering sending this store an instrument
to be aptly forewarned. It will cost me over $2,000 to replace my
clarinet, not to mention the countless hours of worry and frustration
I have committed to this issue.

Here are the links that caused me to lose my prized clarinet. I
would advise any friend or acquaintance to avoid any dealings with
this company.
