To all and sundry,

Smashing idea, that! For whomever may be compiling a list of hopeful
participants, I would like to sign up. Though it is a far piece from my
home, I have a host of relatives in Virginia Beach, Balto, and the Eastern
Shore of MD. I'm hoping to combine a business/pleasure trip (this is the
first time it's been a realistic possibility).

My first - and only - ClarinetFest trip was in 1977 - to Denver, of
course. I was enchanted. A week-long orgy of clarinet-related goods,
services, concerts, and insights. I lived off that for the ensuing school
year. Karl Leister was there, Loren Kitt, Stalder, Eddie D, and I can't
remember who else.

Anywho. To those who are going, have a great time in Salt Lake, and if the
force is with me, I'll see you all next year in College Park.
