I wasn't necessarily speaking of your response to this particular posting,
Bill. I'm talking about my experience on the list all together. It seems
to me that a couple of the strings have begun with you making a claim that
several people felt they had to disagree with (i.e. the Eb/piccolo
conversation). I'm really just teasing you, but I guess I've struck you a
blow right in the yarbles! <wink>

Wendy, just for the record, I enjoy some pieces of electronic music.
My CD collection has a number of them. I enjoy the adagio "space
music" that you can hear on NPR in the late evening sometimes. Also, I
have no problem with Rurik posting examples of his own music.
As far as "likes to argue" is concerned, well.... perhaps "likes to
respond" is a more accurate phrase. There would be no point in
responding if a person typed exactly what the previous person had typed.
If you re-read my post, what I did type was:
".....well, messages that are difficult to read don't encourage answers,
but in general...."
and then I typed several paragraphs about choice of instrument with no
further complaint. My point was that if a message is difficult to read
because of no capitalization, incomplete punctuation, etc, then people
are less likely to read it thoroughly and to respond carefully.
Cheers,
Bill
