I think writing a piece that only one person in the world can play
pleasingly would be a super sweet thing to do. It would make your music
even more special.

Well, I've learned something. Thank you, Nancy and Kelly.

I suppose this raises the issue of writing to take advantage of a
particular performer's skills or a particular instance of instruments.
What will happen to your music if only one performer or one set of
individual instruments can play the composition in a pleasing manner?
Should you not write it?

In a way (I realize this is stretching the point a bit), Mozart wrote
for a particular performer with (at that time) a nearly unique
instrument.

You could make the same speculations about many electronic pieces which
rely on particular sound samples.

Cheers,
Bill
