I'm not sure about flying hamsters but here in Atlanta some of us
refer to the urban varieties of pigeons "rats with wings."
BTW: Outside of Mexico City, Atlanta is said to have the largest
metropolitan population of rats in North America, though that number was
somewhat reduced with the last city elections.
