Wayne,

"most" pros that I know....do not have a C clarinet. They transpose. I have
noticed a few more C clarinets in the field...but often players buy them and
then reject them after they realize that they have to maintain the
performance standard (reeds, mouthpiece, basic differences between two
instruments..<this would apply even between two Bb clarinets>) of more than
one instrument. Many if not most of those that I know with a C clarinet go
back to transposition.
I have a wonderful C clarinet and use it almost daily. I'm the one exception
in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
