If you're curious about the McCullough, no, it is L.E. McCullough. He
also has a tune book/CD. The McCullough tutorial has one of the better
explanations of ornaments I've seen.

Yes, tin whistles are fun and can be cheap. There are also $500
custom-made grenadillo "whistles", so you can go overboard on gear with
any instrument. B^)
