Nancy,

I bought *2* Patricola instruments, an Eb and a C, both
Rosewood. I love them both. They have the metal tenon rings and
alternate Ab/Eb of the Prestige, and were almost ***$2000***
less EACH than a Prestige. Don'thave to sell me on them...

My main concern in the comments about the Prestiges, is that
there is a discrepancy in the Buffet line where they charge for
the name, but the different models like the RC, the Greenline,
and the Eb soprano models don't have all the extra bells and
whistles that you pay the difference on in the R13 Bb/A models
in wood. I think there should, to be fair, less difference in
price if there is less difference in the instruments WITHIN
their own lines.

Patricola is probably the best kept secret out there for
clarinets, price and quality wise. I wouldn't trade them for a
new Buffet for any amount of money (or any other make, for that
matter.)
