Try using the C#/F# key when playing the high A. It can help the note =
come
out a bit easier. Also, make sure you aren't biting at the tip of the =
reed.
When you choke the reed, it won't respond and therefore you won't be =
able to
get high notes out clearly. Make sure that your air support helps the =
note
out...

As Mitchell Lurie told me far too many times in lessons: "Support with =
the
air and not the embochure!"
