That's odd. We still sell mic stands in our store marked Atlas, I
think. In any case, I have seen one that has a grip with a lever that is
perfect for one-handed operation. Just squeeze the lever and move up or
down. They must be available through most shops. Try in particular the
ones that specialize in guitars and amps rather than actual musical
instruments.
