Instead of trying a SHORTER barrel, as you are already at 64mm,
why not try a DIFFERENT make, also at 64mm? Clark Fobes makes
wonderful barrels (and he is on the list,) Walter Grabner makes
great barrels (as I am told from people on the list - and he is
on the list too,) or maybe Guy Chadash (Buffet) barrels? I know
my intonation changed a lot when I played different barrels with
different setups.

How long have you been playing? Did the person who replaced the
pads play it? I would suppose the person who worked on the
instrument would say something if they couldn't get it to play
in tune either.

Do you have other instruments? do you have the same problem on
other instruments when YOU play?

If the instrument is not from before 1940, I would assume it was
never meant to play that flat, and I question whether an
instrument would play flat across the whole range of the
instrument if it wasn't partially what was going on with the
player.

By the way, Vandoren "13" series are MEANT to play flatter than
their regular mouthpieces to accomodate sharp tuned instruments,
so that could be a possibility too.
