Why is it that nowadays everyone related to a movie production gets
listed in
the credits, including caterers (they are the ones that provide the beer
and
food during breaks), hair dressers, etc.but, the 2nd or at least 3rd
most
important thing in a film is the music. The musicians that created the
music
that gives a great big shot of adrenaline to the 'emotion of the moment'
never get listed. Surely the composer gets credit, maybe the
orchestrator or
soloist, I have even seen a credit for a copyist, but never for the
musicians in the studio. You would think they would pressure the union
(if
you still have one that functions rather than just collect your work
dues) to
include this in contracts as this kind of recognition and exposure might
help
with 'employability'.
