Subj: [kl] A band museum in Pine Bluff???

If I recall correctly the display at Oklahoma City, the "museum"
consisted of a large number of very interesting instruments, many kept
in appalling condition with no apparent attempt at conservation. I think
"collection" would be a better term, but I'd be interested to hear what
you say about it, Dan. The owner was a pleasant man but should be
encouraged to look after his instruments!

I've never been there, but the address is:

423 Main St
Pine Bluff, AR 71601

Telephone 870-534-HORN (4676)

Jerry Horne, the owner or manager (?) of the Band Museum, was at the
ClarinetFest in Oklahoma City in 2000 with a display of his instruments,
including a Sarrusaphone and a left-handed Albert system clarinet (I
believe which formerly belonged to Abe Galper). He now also has an Ab
sopranino Albert clarinet that I traded him for something more to me.

Dan - If you go, send us a report!
