Hi Walter,

I've played the Bizet on my "C" (after having to ask the librarian if he
had "C" parts) and the conductor was pleased. Without any big discussion on
the subject, I think that the brighter sound cut through a bit better. At
the first rehearsal I had only the Bb part, so the conductor heard it on Bb
first.

By the second rehearsal I had the C part. She specifically said she
preferred it on C. The 2nd clarinetist was playing on Bb - I don't think
that caused any problems. No one actually commented on the C clarinet
unless I brought up the subject.
