Sue, I actually found some reeds from high school recently in one of my
storage boxes. My daughter and I were practicing and she had her chair
audition coming up the next day in school and she couldn't find a reed she
liked. I pulled out an old LaVoz reed and it was great for her! She got a
kick out of telling her band director (who also happens to play in our
woodwind quintet) that she was playing on a 35 year old reed.

Christy,
Well, it was like 1971, and I don't remember that reed.....I guess
it must've gotten trampled along with the ligature!
