Since I am always careful with my instrument, I've never had an accident
myself, but I did have an uncomfortable moment when a young lady was
going to sit down on her flute. I reached out and grabbed it. I'm
sure I saved the instrument from some damage, but she assumed that I was
grabbing at her instead. Even after I handed her flute back to her,
she gave me a couple more dirty looks instead of thanking me. I wanted
to make a pun out of it, such as "See-not-flat!", but it was a losing
proposition, so I just shut up.
