As always, Karl's wisdom prevails.

My comments were immediate and reactionary. (Didn't count to ten.)

I can't retract what I said, only temper my remarks after the fact.
(That is called, "Pulling your foot out of your mouth in public.")

I'm sure Rebecca will handle the situation well. I'm also thinking that
things said in haste by a parent or parents will also be renegotiable.

I wish Rebecca well.

When in the heat of a verbal battle, don't ever say, ".....or else."
Making ultimatums ultimately get people and even countries into wars
with unforeseen consequences.
