You know, it's something I really don't understand about this list.

A few years ago we had people asking questions about 'what happens' if
you dangle a piece of string down a clarinet.

Yet everyone here has string, and clarinets.

People ask, what is the difference if you use one ligature rather than
another?

Yet you can try those different ligatures in a shop.

My good friend Bill Wright, even, wants to know about 'spherical
barrels'.

I've never tried a spherical barrel, but I know something about them,
because I know the sort of thing that a 'much too large' barrel does,
and I've experimented with putting stuff in barrels.
